How long does it take to get my software? You will be able to download the software within minutes. Simply follow the online process. You will receive your username and license number so you can start using our software right away! Does this software come on CD? Can I have a back-up? The software comes only by download for faster access. Keep in mind that if you should ever lose your software, as a registered user, you will be able to download your software in the future. Just send us a message from our on-line contact form and we will send you a new link for downloading your software. Be sure to include the original email address used to order and the registration code.
Why can't I use this software on more than one computer? You have a single computer license. If you would like to use your software on more than one computer, you can purchase additional licenses for multiple computers. Contact us for specific pricing. Please provide your username, registration code, software title, and the number of computers you want for your license. Will this software work on an Apple Operating System? Sorry, this software only works on windows based systems.
After downloading the demo I installed the full version, but it won't run. Make sure you uninstall the demo version prior to installing the full version.
How do I configure Email Spy to email monitoring reports? We suggest using a free service like Gmail.com. See the next question for setting up an account with Gmail or CLICK HERE to watch a video on gmail setup. If you want to use a standard POP account and get email from Microsoft Outlook, etc. setup should be as follows: Step One: You need to get your mail server. If you don't know it simply go into Outlook and select from the tool bar: Tools - Email Accounts - View Change Exisiting - Change. Now you will see your mail server. For example: smtp.netzero.net. Step Two: Enter your mail server's port. This is normally 25. If you are unsure do a search on Google to find the correct port number. Step Three: Enter the Email Address you want the report to be sent to. It's a good idea to make it the same email address as your mail server on step one. Step Four: Enter the emal address the email should appear to be from. It's a good idea to make it the same email as in step three to avoid possible conflicts. Step Five: If you mail server requires username/password combination enter them and check the box market "Use Authentication."
I don't have a POP account or use Outlook. How can I set up email reports? UPDATE: Email-Spy is now compatible with Gmail! We suggest you get a free email account from Google's www.gmail.com CLICK HERE to watch a video on how to set up email reports using gmail.com or follow the instructions below:
Above is the configuration for setting up a gmail account for receiving email logs. 1. Under Mail Server: click the small down arrow to "gmail" This will fill in the selections as seen above. 2. Replace the word ACCOUNT with your gmail account user name in the three place 3. Enter your password. That is it. Click Send Test Message and it will be sent to your email.
